Yammy Perez Signs with New Britain Bees

Hamden Miners catcher Yammy Perez is continuing his summer in the FCBL after signing with the New Britain Bees. The North Branford, Connecticut native — a graduate of North Branford High School and Bryant University bound — brings his defensive skills, athleticism, and developing bat to the Bees’ roster.

Joining the Miners partway through the summer, Perez made the most of his limited time with the team.

Defensively, Perez handled 32 total chances with a .969 fielding percentage, demonstrating steady work behind the plate and the ability to control the game defensively. “Yammy is a young talented player with a lot of tools, “ said Miners owner Tim Binkoski. “Perez will have the opportunity to continue developing against strong competition in New Britain.”
