Neither Team Pulls Away as Hamden and Simsbury Tie

The Hamden Miners and the Simsbury Sabercats tied 4-4 on Wednesday.
Simsbury opened the scoring in the second with singled, scoring one run.
The Miners took the lead, 2-1, in the top of the fifth when Kyle Cyr doubled, scoring two runs. Cyr went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in with that double in the 5thThey would add one more run in the inning. Simsbury tied the game in the bottom of the sixth and the game would remain in lockjaw the rest of the way.
Greg Nivision started the game for Hamden. The starting pitcher allowed two hits and one run over two and one-third innings, striking out one and walking two.
Next up for Hamden Miners is a game against Meriden Riptide on Thursday.
