Both teams were strong on the mound on Monday, but the Danbury LakeHounds were just a little bit stronger at the plate in their 2-0 victory over the Hamden Miners. Dylan Ellison started the game for the Miners and recorded 12 outs while only giving up one run.

The LakeHounds got on the board in the first inning after a double, scoring one run. That would be all they need in the game as the Miners would be shut out.

Tanner Wall started on the hill for the LakeHounds. The right-handed pitcher gave up three hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out nine and walking two. Dylan Ellison took the loss for Hamden after relieving Wall. He went four innings, surrendering one run on four hits, striking out six and walking one.

Noah Greco, Greg Nivision, Nico DiGioia and Devon McMorriseach collected one hit in the loss for the Hamden Miners.

The Miners next game is against the Simsbury Sabercats on Wednesday.
