Hamden Offense Can’t Keep Up With Danbury in Loss

Despite grabbing the initial 1-0 lead, the Miners allowed six unanswered runs in their loss to the Lakehounds on Tuesday night.
Danbury grabbed the lead in the second after scoring two runs and never looked back. The Lakehounds plated another four runs in the top of the fifth inning to pad their lead.
Quinn Bergin threw four innings for Hamden while allowing one earned run. Luke Ryan and the McIntire twins, Adam and Aaron all logged an inning of relief for the Miners in the loss.
Kyle Cyr, Nick Feinstein and Matt West each logged a hit, accounting for the three base knocks Hamden tallied in the contest. Rocco DeMaio added a stolen base for Hamden.
Consecutive flat offensive outings must be forgotten about for the Miners as they hit the road for their third game in three days. A matchup vs. the Glastonbury Arrows is slated for Wednesday evening.
