Hamden Miners Loses Despite Out Hitting Silk City Sluggers

The Hamden Miners fell 4-3 to the Silk City Sluggers on Sunday despite out-hitting them seven to six. Greco, Noah and Noyes, Zach each collected two hits for Hamden.

Hamden fought back after falling down by four runs in the fourth inning. The comeback fell just short though. The Miners closed the gap by scoring on a double, a single, and a walk.

Silk City jumped out to the lead in the top of the fourth inning after Dylan Jackson doubled, scoring two runs, Adam Pivacek doubled, scoring one run, and Luis Collazo singled, scoring one run.

Dylan Ellison took the loss for Hamden Miners- 2025. The hurler went five innings, giving up four runs on four hits, striking out seven and walking one. Chris Strout stepped on the mound first for Silk City Sluggers. The pitcher allowed three hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out three and walking four.

Jackson led Silk City Sluggers with two runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Pivacek, Jackson, and Collazo each collected two hits for Silk City Sluggers.
