Hamden Miners Lose To Danbury LakeHounds

The Hamden Miners lost to the Danbury LakeHounds 7-2 on Monday.
Danbury got on the board in the top of the second inning after Hamden committed an error, and Matt Wallin grounded into a fielder's choice, each scoring one run.
A single by Jackson Ciccone extended the LakeHounds lead to 4-0 in the top of the third inning. That was all the LakeHounds needed.
John Slais pitched three and two-thirds innings in relief for Hamden. The reliever gave up two hits and two runs (one earned) while, striking out two and walking one. Zion Fraser took the loss for the Miners. The starter went three innings, allowing four runs (three earned) on four hits, striking out one and walking none. Will Granata started on the hill for Danbury. The lefty allowed five hits and two runs over four and one-third innings, striking out three and walking five.
