Hamden Blanked by Danbury in Friday Night Contest

It was all Danbury in the matchup between the Miners and Lakehounds on Friday evening as Danbury cruised to a 5-0 win over Hamden, allowing just one hit to the Miners lineup.
Dylan Ellison started the game on the bump for Hamden, throwing three innings while allowing four earned runs. Jack Lewis and Aaron McIntire wrapped up the game in relief as Danbury did most of their offensive damage early.
It was a tough go at the plate for Hamden over the course of the game as the team mustered a single hit. That came off the bat of cleanup hitter Kyle Cyr who singled to leadoff the second inning. Five different batters did manage to work walks in the loss.
Hamden remains winless on their road trip as they remain with two more games at opposing fields to wrap up that stretch. Their next shot at getting back on track comes on Sunday as they head to Waterbury for a battle with the Silverbacks. It’s been nearly a month since the two teams matched up, with Hamden winning an 8-7 barnburner back on June 21.
