Big Seventh Inning Leads Simsbury Past Hamden Miners

Simsbury defeated Hamden Miners 8-1 on Wednesday thanks in part to five runs in the seventh inning.

Simsbury scored those five runs on three hits in the top of the seventh inning. A hit by a pitch, drove in a run, then a double, scored two runs, and an error scored another run.

Dylan Ellison started the game for Hamden. The starter allowed four hits and two runs over four innings, striking out three and walking one. He received a no decision for his efforts. Simsbury amassed nine hits in the game.

Next up for Hamden is a game at the Meriden Riptide on Friday.
